This trip was a bargain, it was our first time in the lovely colonial city of Cartagena. As usual Gate1 was there waiting for us and the guide Richard was exceptional. We talked about some chicharrones... and low and behold, the next day he took some to our hotel.... what a nice guy. The food was awesome, we eat street food - its the only way to really see what is going on. The ceviche and seafood in general was awesome.

Eating at night in front of a colonial church, was wonderful. The beaches are quite nice.

Colonial fortresses all over the place, well preserved.

For those that want to go birding, there is an awesome birding location "aviario nacional" chock full with local exotics as well as some introduced species.

Lovely trip, highly recommended.
