Its about that time! We are very excited! This will be our 3rd GATE1 trip and we cannot wait.

Who else is going to Turkey on Oct 13th?

My wife and I share the same birthday 10/18 and will spend it at Full Day Ephesus & House of Virgin Mary with lunch

This will be an amazing trip!

IF anyone has been already, please tell us about the "must see" event, places, things!

You are in for a birthday treat! It is a very full day, but a memorable one.
Our favorite parts of the trip were: Ephesus, Pamukkale, Antalya, and Cappadocia. We also did all of the optional tours and found them worthwhile. Thank goodness for a little down time in Antalya, even with the Perge/Aspendos/ Museum tour.
We had not originally planned on the whirling dervish show, but found it fascinating. The balloon ride was probably the most memorable of all. We just returned a week ago. It was an amazing trip-- you will be tired, but will experience something unforgettable. We weren't crazy about the food, but certainly didn't starve!

AWESOME - thanks for sharing. Yes we are doing all of the optional excursions except for Bosporus cruise, we are going to keep that as a "game time decision" pending how we want to use the free time. Did you get your visa before online or when you got there at the airport?

coreyus:  Turkey changed it's visa requirements last year removing the option to purchase upon arrival.  May want to check out the following from their ministry of tourism website.   There are some older posts with some of the same info and a lot of past posts of recommendations and tour reports that might be fun to read.  It was one of our favorites with G1.

United States of America: Ordinary and official passport holders are required to have visa to enter Turkey. They can obtain three month-multiple entry visas from Turkish diplomatic representations abroad and also via the website www.evisa.gov.tr.

happy travels.
