Hello, trying to connect with others who are on this tour. Would also welcome some feedback from those who have done this tour before. Shopping, dress codes, currency, must see etc.

I did this tour last Nov., en route to Thailand.  I used the Emirites no charge layover and stayed for the tour, that way I could use their transfers etc to and fro airport.
Its an interesting trip, weather very nice in winter. Accommodations nice, location good.  I did the extra excursions, enjoyed them.  The mosque in Abu Dhabi is beautiful and yes, you have to dress appropriately when touring religious structures. Take a scarf for head cover with you, no short sleeves and no shorts.  Roof top pool nice and you can wear a bathing suit.  There are night clubs and the dress is western.
I am glad I went as a layover, glad I did not just go there only.  Its a long flight.
Food ok, nothing great, a lot of traffic therefore it takes a long time to get anywhere.  Huge shopping malls, rich people, huge palaces. Architecturally a treat.

Another thing, there were 50! in our group so we were divided into 2 groups.  Most ppl were there to shop and party. We were the only ones traveling on.  Do the excursions they were fun.
