Has anyone taken the 8 day tour of Mt. Rushmore, Grand Tetons, and Yellowstone? I can't find any reviews about this tour on tripadvisor.com. I'd appreciate any information.

I've been to all those places, I don't think you really need to go to Mt Rushmore, absolutely nothing up there. I've been there twice and would never go back.
Unless the trip includes staying in the National park hotels I wouldn't do it, only becasue those hotels are so fabulous you shouldn't miss them

I'm very surprised that anyone would say Mt. Rushmore isn't worth seeing. It is one of our treasures. and near there is Crazy Horse, a work in progress. To say it isn't worth seeing is like saying don't bother seeing the Eiffel Tower because it is just a bunch of metal.

Disagree.

Crazy horse is worth it. Have you actually been there? If you want to go, go. You drive hours out of the way, to see a statue. Anyway, you'r choice, I've been there, twice, I must have forgotten how long it takes to get there. A National treasure? I don't know about that. All my opinion. I've actually been to every National Park out west and that one is my least favorite.

We have been to Mt Rushmore, but that was about 40 years ago. We felt like we needed to see it one more time. The story behind the construction of Mt. Rushmore and Crazy horse is fascinating. We have not seen the other Nationanl Parks included in this tour. We will be going in late August. I will post a review.

We returned from the Mt. Rushmore, Yellowstone, Grand Tetons tour last week. It was another good Gate 1 tour. The second day had a lot of bus riding, but we knew it when we booked. Hotels were fine. We drove to where we met up with the Gate 1 tour in Rapid City, SD. Prior to joining the Gate 1 tour, we visited the Badlands of SD and Custer State Park. Both were wonderful. My suggestion to Gate 1 would be to add a day at the beginning and also see those two fantastic sites. Both my husband and I thought Crazy Horse and Custer State Park were the highlights of our trip. We only saw one tour bus in Custer and none in the Badlands. Maybe they are not available to as many tour companies.

Were you able to get to Cody, Wyoming where the fabulous Cowboy and Indian Museum is?
